Position Title: On Board Customer Service

Job Description:

We pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer experience through our customer promise, our On Train Customer Service team play a huge part in that and will provide day to day management of the On Train operations on our services. You will assist in developing professional, highly motivated and enthusiastic teams on board, whilst ensuring consistent, excellent customer service standards are maintained. Looking after our customers will be your top priority.

Responsibilities: 

  • Checking and verifying tickets;
  • Ensuring the safety of everyone on board.
  • Checking the on train environment including equipment and general cleanliness of facilities;
  • Be visible and available to provide customers with advice and guidance, as necessary;
  • Managing the overall financial responsibility for any cash transactions taken on board; and
  • Where shortcomings exist, taking further action by correcting or reporting faults;

About East Midlands Railway

EMR has a hybrid working policy which is applicable for this role. This means the role can be based at home 2-3 days per week and in the office 2-3 days per week. Should you wish to work full time in the office this is also an option.
