Responsibilities:
- Safe work practices.
- Contributing effectively to the accomplishment of team or work unit goals, objectives and activities.
- Techniques for dealing with a variety of individuals, at all levels of responsibility, in person and over the telephone.
- Standard office practices and procedures, including filing and the operation of standard office equipment.
- Assist customers with their library needs.
- Ability to:
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relations with those contacted in the course of work.
- Specific areas of employment (working in a library environment or equivalent area).
- Assist with activities related to the various library departments.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Requirements:
- Library classification system.
- Standard office practices and procedures, including filing and the operation of standard office equipment.
- Correct business English, including spelling, grammar and punctuation.
- Techniques for dealing with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, in person and over the telephone.
