Job Description:

The role – The Loans Analyst, will be responsible for assisting the Loans Business Partner in all aspects of the financial reporting, planning and analysis processes for the Loans business. This will require the continual improvement and ongoing management of the processes to provide clear, timely and insightful financial information and analysis in line with business best practice.The team – to drive profitable loans growth for the business and value for our customers by creating and maintaining strong customer and partner advocacy, managing relationships, whilst understanding and communicating current and future drivers of performance. Our goal is to deliver clear, timely and insightful financial information and analysis in line with best practice in the business to drive strategic growth.

Responsibilities:

• Have strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate changing customer trends
• Strong attention to detail
• Effective planning, organising & prioritisation skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Have a good commercial focus – attuned to evolving business needs and able to support the rapid development of finance capabilities to deliver performance enhancing support to the Loans business
• A self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Good system knowledge and capability, e.g. MIS / Microstrategy
• Take ownership and responsibility for output contributing to the success of the team
• Have a good awareness of the financial services market and relevant accounting developments
• Studing for a professional finance qualification would be advantageous
