Job Description

You are empowered within this role to develop and nurture contacts at all levels across our UK and International businesses; this provides an interesting balance of variety, challenge and opportunity, including European travel.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all contracts associated with the company’s future products including bid approval, performance monitoring and delivery risk/opportunities
• Manage the generation and reporting of budgets, business plans, forecasts and key performance indicators across a wide variety of MBDA activities and to ensure these metrics are agreed, understood and met by stakeholders
• Identify, monitor and manage all risks and opportunities associated with key financial targets
• Support Capital Investment evaluation and planning for the Engineering Directorate
• Ensure compliance to all relevant financial/accounting regulation (external and internal); e.g. IFRS 15
• Manage and develop a small team of finance professionals
• Some travel is required to our Stevenage and European sites to nurture and sustain professional relationships.

Requirements:

• Ideally, the successful applicant will have experience of working within a long-term contracting business, with experience of both long-term contracts and functional cost base controlling.
• Demonstrable, in-depth experience of financial control, statutory and management reporting in a complex business environment
• Ability to advise, encourage, and influence senior management with a clear understanding of how cultural differences impact methods of working
• Holder of, or able to achieve, SC level clearance
