Position Title: Data Analyst

Job Description:

We are looking for a full-time DATA ANALYST to join our Data Science and Analytics team in LOS ANGELES, CA! We are customer-obsessed and want to give our customers something to write home about by using data to improve their experience through operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that FASHIONPHILE has the right inventory, at the right levels, in the right place, at the right time, and at the right cost
  • Forecast demand and inventory volume to prescribe target levels and maximize availability
  • Use data to optimize inventory mix across categories, brands, and styles to meet demand and increase profit
  • Determine the optimal physical distribution of inventory
  • Monitor and regularly assess the full supply chain, identifying opportunities to increase performance in terms of productivity, profitability, and quality

Requirements:

  • A degree in a industrial engineering, operations research/management, business administration, statistics or equivalent work experience
  • 2-5 years experience in a operations, supply chain, or data analyst role
  • Working knowledge of SQL with the ability to write queries from scratch
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau, Sisense/Periscope, MicroStrategy, Looker, or QuickSight
  • Familiarity with applied mathematical and statistical methods and concepts, including regression analysis, dynamic models, optimization, simulation, and queuing theory
  • Proficiency with a statistical programming language (R or Python) to import, process, summarize, and analyze data
  • A commitment to and appreciation of accurate and consistent data
  • The ability to learn autonomously and work with only some guidance
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and an ability to convey findings to non-experts
  • A willingness to take the initiative
