Job Description:

Our fantastic client within the sporting industry is looking for an Entry Level Accounts Assistant to join their fun and friendly team! You’ll be joining the accounts team of 4!
This is a full time role, working Monday to Friday 8:30 – 17:00.

Responsibilities: 

  • You’ll be reporting to the Accounts Manager, the accounts assistant will cover a wide range of duties across purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control.
  • Receiving and posting purchase ledger invoices to the correct supplier accounts (for both overheads and stock), ensuring that details of the invoice are accurately transferred and coded to the appropriate nominal code
  • Supplier statement reconciliation
  • Ensure all supplier accounts are as clear as possible ensuring all payments made are allocated to invoices
  • Completion of invoice batching and posting to the ledger
  • Review and resolve all credit requests, and post raised credits to the ledger
  • Completion of sales data reporting to buying groups and commercial invoicing requests
  • Management of customer accounts assigned to the role, ensuring all cash due for collection is received in a timely fashion.

Reqirements:

  • Someone who’s passionate about starting a career in accounting
  •  Enthusiastic person with good organisational skills
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
