Position Title: Design Engineer

Job Description:

We’re changing the energy system globally, spearheading the transition to greener, cheaper energy through the installation of in-home technologies.

Responsibilities: 

• Carry out PCB layout of designs using dedicated design software and prepare bills of materials
• Carry out detailed electronic circuit design, including simulation and design verification testing of the new design
• Select parts, taking into consideration obsolescence, availability and cost
• Work on new design projects as well as support the existing production and other areas of the company
• Act as point of contact for PCBA manufacturers for the implementation of new designs for manufacturers
• Primarily working on hardware design but may also work on firmware/software or work with dedicated software engineers
• Create embedded designs which involve electronic control of heat pumps, heating controls and associated technologies.
• Embedded designs will be required to gather analogue signals from various sensors and exchange data through various serial bus and RF interfaces

Reqirements:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Good experience in electronic embedded circuit design
