Position Title: Business Support Administrator

Job Description

The Infrastructure division of Atkins have an opportunity for a Business Support Administrator to join our teams working in Atkins’ offices in Birmingham City Centre. The role forms part of a new Business Support structure that was introduced in late 2020 across the Infrastructure division. As a Business Support Administrator, you will work collaboratively as part of a regional team and be responsible for providing excellent administrative support to the regional Infrastructure teams. Our Birmingham team is located in a brand-new office in the city centre and the role will involve a mix of office and home working.

Responsibilities:

  • Support regional staff with meeting arrangements (booking rooms, catering and preparing/circulating document packs).
  • Booking of external venues and handling logistics including liaising across other UK businesses and with external suppliers.
  • Support to Business Support Managers and other Administrators when required (including annual leave cover).
  • Support with IT arrangements and local inductions for new starters.
  • Help coordinate, compile and format reports and other documents as required.
  • Ad-hoc administrative duties and support to local regional teams as required.
  • Reporting of IT or FM issues.
  • Ordering office stationery.

Requirements:

  • Team player with ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with a positive, pro-active approach.
  • Experience of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products (in particular Word, but also Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint).
