Job Description:

The Partnerships team sits alongside the retail, marketing, content, hospitality and business development teams within the Commercial department. The Partnerships team has dual objectives of both revenue generation (through the fees obtained through our official Partnerships), and brand development (through our Partners utilising their marketing rights to promote and develop the Arsenal brand in the UK and beyond). Within the Partnerships team there are two main areas of focus – attracting and signing our Commercial Partners (Partnership Development), and Partner Services, who are responsible for managing the relationships with existing Partners to ensure both parties optimise the return from each agreement. The Partner Services team aims to add value to our Partners with a ‘best-in-class’ approach, whilst also working seamlessly with other departments within Arsenal to ensure Partner rights are leveraged effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Official Partner Overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of one designated Official or Regional PartnerFull ownership of client relationship with responsibility to collaborate in development of strategic activation plan
  • Provide a dedicated and consistently high level of service to the Partner in line with the investment provided to the Club – endeavouring to provide ‘Best-in-Class’ service
  • Continually identifying areas where service levels can be improved
  • Build detailed knowledge of Partner business to help drive mutually beneficial activation programmes
  • Develop relationships with relevant management personnel throughout client’s business as part of increasing depth of relationship
  • In addition, build knowledge of designated Partner’s business category (competitor activity, brand immersion, trends etc)
  • Ensure a consistent budgetary process is followed at all times with up to date reports held on file
  • Provide Senior Partner Services Manager with detailed updates on status of Partner activity on regular basis
  • Ensure Partner contractual obligations are fulfilled flawlessly at all times
  • Team Admin support available to assist with efficient management of tickets, signed merchandise etc.
  • Work with Partner to maximise the value of their rights, e.g. identifying and delivering opportunities for Partners to activate their Club association
  • Actively share information and best practices with other members of Partner Services teamUndertake other tasks from time to time that may be allocated to the jobholder appropriate to the job grade
  • Measurement / reporting: Continuously track and deliver post-campaign evaluations on Partners activation Utilising data and insights to continually improve Partnership offering Responsibility for a number of other Official and / or Regional Partners (Managed on day-to-day basis by direct reports): Management responsibility for selected Official and/or Regional Partners Providing support and guidance to PSE’s who have day-to-day responsibility for Official / Regional Partners Add value by working with PSE’s to agree objectives and activation plans / areas of improvement with designated Partners
  • Develop structured approach with each PSE on how projects will be planned, implemented, measured and improved
  • Ensuring ‘Best-in-class’ standards within team are taught and adhered to in all client interactions Responsibility for undertaking PDR process with direct reports (with support of HOD)Regular interaction with senior level client stakeholders
  • Requirement to keep Senior Partner Services Manager fully updated with status of each client relationship and discuss potential areas of improvement Weekly and (more detailed monthly) status meetings to ensure consistent progress of Official Partnerships Specific projects: Support Senior Partner Services Manager in managing & implementing specific projects throughout year eg Activation reporting

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent Languages an advantage Specific Experience: Required Relevant experience of providing first-class account / project management for, or on behalf of brands across multiple sectors & markets
  • Strong understanding of brand marketing and experience of managing / implementing campaigns across traditional and new media channels (e.g. digital / social media)
  • Experience in managing, planning and implementation of Partnership related activation programmes
  • Experience of rights management & fulfilment (including brand approvals / brand guardianship)
  • A passion or empathy with sport/sports entertainmentStaff management experience
