Position Title: Matchday Operations Coordinator

Job Description:

To provide operational support (both office and event based) for the venue team. The post holder’s remit covers a range of integral duties, with particular focus on ensuring a smooth operational delivery of all Premium/GA areas and in-bowl operations on matchday. RESOURCES MANAGEMENT Management responsibility for: None Reports to: Senior Operations Manager – Premium and Venue Experience Budgetary signing limit and commercial framework: Jobholder is not a budget holder – all requests for required expenditure must be approved by their line manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with Brand Marketing to deliver all operational requirements of the in-bowl matchday show.
  • To manage and send out all communication throughout the season to ensure a smooth operation for the ball squad, ensuring all safeguarding procedures are in place.
  • Work with the Memberships Team to help deliver and manage the home and away club mascots for both home and away fixtures for the men’s first team.
  • Manage all bookings of club’s mascot Gunnersaurus including staffing for all matchday and non-matchday events and managing the maintenance of the costume.
  • Facilitate special visits and any special experiences that are passed through to us by the Charitable Executive or SLO.
  • To manage all the agreements, administration and booking of required casual staff Liaise with any matchday experience agencies to deliver in-bowl matchday experience including supporting the SLO to delivery any fan flag activations.
  • To manage and brief a pool of matchday casual workers to ensure they deliver a world class experience.
  • Confidently manage the operations and logistics, working well under pressure.
  • To assist when required in the operational delivery of all Premium and GA areas.
  • To assist in coordination with the Venue Memberships Team regarding specific match-day requirements for seasonal diners, ensuring a best-in-class member experience
  • To assist in the pre-match stadium set-up and venue check in all premium/GA areas To assist in the season-long management of matchday collateral, ensuring sufficient supplies of all key materials
  • To be appointed as one of the club’s Designated Safeguarding Officers To attend and contribute to post-match debriefs General administration of the various hospitality and restaurant booking systems Coordinate departmental operational requirements such as parking passes, matchday accreditation, etc
  • To assist in the operational delivery of MBM hospitality bookings, inc. ticket allocation, fulfilment and pre-match, match-day, and post-match client management
  • To be the appointed individual responsible for Health and Safety regulations and safe working practices in accordance with current legislation.
  • As detailed in the Company Health and Safety Policy.
  • Support the operations team with specific club events and undertake other tasks that from time to time may be allocated to the jobholder that are appropriate to the family/grade of the job.
  • Assist the operations team for special events as and when required.
  • Assist and help the Internal Events co-ordinated where possible.

Requirements:

  • Relevant hospitality/ customer service qualifications would be desirable.
  • Office/ Administrative qualifications would be advantageous.
  • Specific Experience: Required Administration experience within a fast paced, pressurised and heavily customer focused environment.
  • First class IT skills including a strong working knowledge of all Microsoft applications.
  • Experience within the events or hospitality industry. Knowledge of Health & Safety and Safeguarding processes.
