Position Title: Global Risk Director

Job Description:

Aon are currently recruiting a CRS Global Risk Director to join our team. This role could be based across various locations around the world. The CRS Global Risk Director will be primarily responsible for providing the Regional Risk Director and the Global CRS COO with a strong risk management culture, framework and reporting mandate supported by a formal Regional Risk Committee for the Commercial Risk business across the globe.

Responsibilities: 

  • Developing a strong risk management and governance culture in the business;
  • Providing leadership and oversight our key risk metrics and working with CR solution line to deliver critical metrics;
  • Delivering proactive monitoring and systems of check to aid the business in self-assessment, including the introduction of tools to assist accurate business performance measurement;
  • Providing training, resources and materials to support risk management best practice;
  • Facilitating compliant solutions
  • To craft and deliver a risk dashboard for the CR leadership, presented quarterly;
  • Working closely with the Global Risk Office and geographic RRCs in support of Aon’s ERM framework;
  • Collaboration with Aon’s shared services;
  • Supporting the Regional Risk Director and COO with taking the CR Risk performance into the ABS model;
  • Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

Reqirements:

  • Intermediate to senior business experience within Aon or similar international broking company;
  • Ideally suited to candidate who has client or broking, revenue earning and operational experience in a dynamic and international business;
  • C-suite level confidence and competence;
  • Strong influencer and communicator across all levels of the organisation;
  • Execution capability, proven track record of project management and delivery;
  • Energetic and positive, trusted and respected, credible with internal partners;
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and numerical skills;
  • Hard-working team player with positive relationship and empathy building skills who are capable of selling reasons for change to a range of partners;
  • Excellent networking and relationship building skills;
  • Excellent reporting and presentation skills;
  • Understanding of key driers of compliance, control and operational performance;
  • Ability to provide input on Company-wide plans and polices of strategic importance;
  • Ability to work in a sophisticated global matrix environment with a mix of functional, business and geographic leaders.
